My Technical Writing Voyage

First of all voyage means journey, thus, this article is about my journey into technical writing. This will be a short article because this is my first time, venturing into anything that has to do with technical writing.
Writing started for me by writing poems and short quotes during my teenage years. One of my quotes is:
"DON'T BE LIKE A LION IN A BOOK THAT LOOKS SCARY BUT CANNOT HARM. BE REAL!".
Funny right? 😃😃😃. Thus, writing for me has been part of me since I was young (teenage years).
In 2016, I gained admission to study electrical and electronics engineering and I learnt that, to become a relevant engineer in this field, either as an academician or industry expert, knowing how to use a programming language is essential. Thus, I developed an interest in learning computer programming. It has been an awesome journey with many ups and downs because I am self-taught. I'm still learning though and there's an adage that says learning never stops, therefore, I won't stop learning. At a particular junction in my learning path, I found out that software products created by computer programmers needs easy to read and understand documentation of how it works and how to use them, and this type of documentation is written by technical writers. Since the time of this discovery, I've been looking for an opportunity to be a technical writer and hashnode came to my rescue.
My source of motivation to become a technical writer is from a saying that says, "good programmers are good technical writers". As long as I want to be a good programmer, becoming a good technical writer is a must for me!
My goal as an aspiring technical writer is to write tech related articles that is void of statements made up of complex words, and easy to follow and understood by everyone who reads the article! This goal of mine came from an adage by Albert Einstein which says:
“If you can't explain it to a six year old, you don't understand it yourself."
Though I'm not there yet, in fact, the journey just started. But with constant practise, and taking myself out of the comfort zone, I'll be able to write tech articles that will be easy for a six year old to understand!
Thank you hashnode for this great opportunity, I really appreciate it.
Thanks for reading my little article on my journey into technical writing. Peace to your soul!
